Working towards a feline-friendly tomorrow
Behaviour Science, Applied to Real Cats in Real Homes
Our mission
Cats have spent centuries being treated as easier, quieter versions of dogs, animals that need less understanding because they seem to need less. They don't. A cat's silence is rarely emptiness; it's a language most people were never taught to read.
This institute exists to change that. We study feline behaviour with the same rigour, evidence, and seriousness that has long been standard in canine work, because a cat that hides, scratches, stops using the litter box, or seems "suddenly aggressive" isn't being difficult. They're communicating something, usually about stress, territory, health, or an environment that doesn't yet make sense to them.
We work with cat parents who want to understand the animal actually living in their home, and with professionals, vets, groomers, shelters, trainers, who are ready to bring real feline expertise into their practice. Everything we teach is grounded in current behavioural science and welfare research, not folklore, and not guesswork.
Cats deserve to be understood on their own terms.
"Cats choose us; we don't own them."
